(Anonymous) 2015-07-25 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)If the courts are demolished or depowered I think it'd kind of suck if they were barred from major positions of power from now on. Especially for the newer post-timeskip barons, who aren't even going to get the chance to really do anything before the metaplot ends due to how long it ICly takes to build things. I want as many people to have a chance to do things as possible, but I also don't want to say "taking this one particular thing will prevent your character from doing other things in the future no matter how active you are or ambitious your character is" especially because the whole plot ending in 6 months thing kind of took everyone by surprise. Plenty of non-baron/marquis characters have done more than the current barons/marquises, so I think it should be based on more subjective criteria than taking that one title.
I wouldn't want Saber leading a new court, for instance...But, from the looks of things the two courts will still be around and the barons/marquises are likely to be most loyal to them anyways.
