i'm just annoyed with all the AoT comparisons that has filled any conversation about the series this anime has brought. especially the eren and lenka comparisons.

lenka is boring as hell but eren isn't and never will be the 1st protagonist to have that god awful trope.

the old guard is few in numbers considering how small the game's fandom is so, even if their bitching is annoying, they're at least ignorable. the weeaboo fangirls have come out in force in comparison.

wait until alisa shows up. the neckbeards will be out in full force slobbering all over their new waifu.

I just find weeb accusations absolutely hilarious when we're all in the same Japanese fandom. Guys.

I can sympathize with the AoT comparisons being excessive, though that was my first thought in the first episode, too. Lenka and Eren are both definitely Generic Protags at first glance. Let's hope Lenka gets his own development, I haven't seen many people who like him so far.

you're needlessly nitpicking, anon. i can't speak for anyone else, but when i say weebs in this context, i'm talking about folks who never grew out of their awkward 13 year old phase. hell, i give you that some of them actually are 13 years old still going through that phase, so okay. that's a pass for not realizing how obnoxious they are.

I'm not nitpicking. Having gone through the tag (tumblr-wise), I genuinely haven't seen many truly obnoxious 'weeb-worthy' posts. We probably just have different thresholds for tolerating this sort of thing.

the tag cooled down since 1st ep aired so there isn't as many, true. but that doesn't change the fact that you said "but we're all weebs." that was the point of your comment if i am to understand. my point was, "yeah, but context matters between a self-aware weeb and an obnoxious weeb."

Now you're nitpicking, anon. A weeb is a weeb, it's just as obnoxious to sit around looking down on fellow fans as it is to vomit your feels all over the tag with no restraint. I've seen about equal amounts of both, and I've trawled all the way back to when the PV came out looking for decent gifs.
