Daredevil - I really enjoyed it. It was gritty and grimdark and didn't have quite the campy feel that turned me off of AoS. It also had a really interesting way of showing the origins of both the hero and the villain, and the side characters were equally intriguing. All in all, I say it's a good vote.

Sons of Anarchy - This is a great series. Fair warning that it's incredibly aggressive and deals with some pretty sensitive topic matters like rape (both male and female), and it can come off as incredibly offensive and racist/sexist, but it is what it is - a series about a biker gang. Political correctness was actually evicted in the concept stages of this. It's graphic and violent, but it has a really good way of drawing you in and making you love the most dickish and evil characters. You both hate and love them. Another good watch and I vote yay.

Luther: Some of the episodes can drag but Idris Elba gives an incredible performance. His magnetism and presence in this show will blow you away.

daredevil is fantastic, although i will say that it has some gratuitous violence. it's much grittier and less campy and stupid than anything else in the MCU.

dissenting opinion here: i don't think daredevil is that great. better than aos for sure and a competent enough series, but i only kept watching it for lack of anything better to do and laziness to go find another series. the action is good but the comedy falls flat most of the time. to quote someone else, "matt, foggy and karen spend a lot of time laughing even though nothing funny happens"

I think most people have to be in a certain mood to watch Luther: it's pretty grim, pretty hammy, and has little to no sense of humor on its best days. The dialogue isn't memorable and it brings up no new ideas, but IMO Idris Elba and Ruth Wilson are well worth it if you have the time.
