How is just writing general non-sexual fanfic "fetishizing" a character? Your friend has every right to be uncomfortable with whatever, but ngl, that's pretty strange. Are they just mad that people are imagining things that aren't canon or what??

while i agree that the friend is likely misinterpreting, you're dumb. people can be uncomfortable with whatever they like. also, read the actual op and not what someone misinterpreted it as. they hate fanfic. they're not 'uncomfortable' with it.
