on the off-chance what you want is something that's essentially the same as a read more but without the mobile issues, what i've seen a couple of people do is make a private post with the spoiler, then a new public post with a link to it.

The only server I have ever known! It's medium pace with a pretty harsh separation between hardcore players and casuals from what I've seen. We are apparently one of the meanest servers too from what I've heard? Like, if you don't get to a hunt within a minute of it being called it will 100% be killed before you get there. But I don't mind that because I'm an impatient bitch with a good connection and I hate waiting.

Anyway, I probably won't leave it. I found a nice little corner and I fill in with statics whenever a healer doesn't show. It really depends on who you know.

Bastion and Transistor inspired action/adventure game where characters start in an incomplete base "world" and have to dive into other decaying areas/worlds/dimensions/what have you to gather up their cores, which then expands and influences the base. Players are given a basic template for the alternate world and then create and explore it themselves with guidance where necessary, but otherwise few mod restrictions. Maybe 1 month to explore then 1 month back "home." Or 2:1? I'm thinking the base could be magitech themed, mostly because it'd be pretty flexible, but it depends on the plot.

Example rewards system: there are 20 players in-game. In one world, they gather 10 cores. Each character that gets a core would earn a small personal reward (an item, a power, etc) or can save up for a larger one, and the overall effort would create a new building or environmental effect back at base. If they collectively gather 15 cores instead, the personal rewards don't get any better, but the group one does.

Core gathering must be threaded out and reach AC length to count, but it's optional. Players can adventure and worldbuild separately if they'd rather not worry about it. Furthermore, the base changes and possibly player rewards would be affected by how the players went about gathering cores (peacefully vs destructively, certain moral choices, etc). There will not always be negative choices, but likewise, sometimes it will be about choosing the lesser of two evils.

New players and test drives will ideally happen in the alternate worlds to keep things interesting, as well as maybe providing incentive for existing characters to go adventuring to save people from a collapsing world.

Game tone would be less horror and more adventure. I know it's difficult, but I would prefer a balance of SOL and action, where there's room for both but one doesn't dominate the other. I'm not aiming for grimdark; while I like terrible things as much as the next person, overwhelmingly awful events would be used sparingly to maintain impact and the game wouldn't be without a sense of humor. And again, to maintain impact, death would either be permanent or strictly limited. There would be an overarching plot that would resolve within 1.5-2 years.

There would be monthly player suggestions posts for plots, future worlds, and general requests or critique. I think for any plotty games it's helpful for mods and players to work together so neither of them get burnt out, and the playerbase more often gets what they want.

It's unrefined and I'm spitballing to measure interest right now so it's just an idea, but there you have it.

i've been there. once it's gotten to this point, any confrontation is going to lead to a falling out anyway, so tell them they're being codependent and unhealthy honestly. you're probably going to have to drop them, but at least you can say you tried.

We look at tumblr or ij rp and mock their terrible layouts or rpf, but i'm sure someone somewhere has linked to sora/palpatine or that weird 40-something who RPs like she's 15 and it's the late 90's with her ~schmexy~ shiny-eyed anime boys glomping and calling each other baka.
