The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. kokoro connect was nothing special. girls are all tortured souls who give soliloquies about their psychological issues, boys do nothing. there was one arc that struck me as pretty lousy in particular: girl has an abusive dad, she tells the mom she doesn't like the dad, so the mom goes "oh okay. i didn't know you didn't like him" and kicks him out of the house forever. nice realistic problem-solving!

mirai nikki is one of those dark and edgy shows where everyone turns out to be a psycho and people get murdered every episode. there was one episode where a literal seven year old starts a fight to the death with the main characters (who are only in middle school themselves). it's bad, but it's very watchable since there's always some shocking twist around the corner.

Try out various test drives in the meantime. You may or may not be surprised. PSL's and memes are good interim sources. I find the former more satisfying than any game, anyways.

well if you're asking if there's a way to do it without feeling bad, no. not really.

i would contact them privately and ask if they'd be interested in hearing constructive criticism, and then lay out your concerns there -- without mentioning the part about not wanting to play with them anymore. treat it as you would a normal concrit; don't be accusatory, and just kind of explain the discrepancies between their version of the character and canon. examples from canon couldn't hurt. if they take it well, great, go from there. if not... at least you're not stepping on eggshells about it anymore.

there's also the part of me that think this is about me even though it probably isn't. that part's going like PLEASE TELL THEM OH MY GOD, because if i was the player of x then i would really want to know.

a stranger tagged a character i just started playing with the other half of a pairing i wanted to play with them and the thread is going really strong. we're both consistently boomeranging and im generally really happy with it. sighs.
