Eat Pretty: a book about nutrition being superior to all beauty products. It has recipes and talks about chemical processes in the body when you eat shit food and also what foods contain what "beauty properties". Did you know beets have uv-protection properties?

Also just finished reading Bedouins of the Egyptian Wilderness, which was an anthropological study on bedouins from the 80s. It is a seriously fascinating book. The theories the bedouins have and their superstitions and even their gossip about other clans and tribes reads like it's straight out of fiction. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!!

I think this is it, exactly. Sadly I don't see it changing much which worries me -- the mods seem intent on continuing to micro manage everything when it seems like they -can't- anymore because of how theyre down mods. So instead the pace is just bleh.

would anyone be interested in an oc help community? people could post world-building/history/personality stuff and have others look it over/say where they don't understand ___ or the like.

most of the people we've lost were those that were having trouble tagging/being active even before the train plot. i'm pretty confident once we arrive at the new box, we'll get new players. not just because it'll be more stable but because we'll finally get more info on the new plot as a whole.

what's the deal with people (mostly guys) who put their full name on their online dating profiles?

500 seems a little low, 1000 seems...a smidge too high, although it's possible. i wonder if you looked at the contact lists for every active game, you'd get a working number of active rp plurks, and an idea of the proportion of rpers without a plurk. and then maybe a survey on plurk asking how many people are in games vs not? that would probably let you extrapolate a working number, right?

i'm not actually planning to do this, just wondering how you could get a number

x times y = (rough number of active rpers not in a game) = a
(number of people in games without a plurk) = z
z times y = (rough number of active rpers without a game or a plurk) = b
a + b + x + z = rough number
