what is muv luv

visual novel. first half of original muv-luv is standard school romcom, second half is an alternate universe mecha action thing. alternative is a sequel to the mecha half. lots of body horror and 'we shall face impossible odds!' type stuff. attack on titan lifted extremely heavily from it.

I am cautiously optimistic

most people interested probably played the VN already, and the others think MuvLuv is "that shitty anime with aliens"

Yeah, Total Eclipse anime was pretty bad

the big question is: we are getting Altered Fable, right?

I hear that they're going to use Ixrec's translation instead of retranslating it. Which is a shame since I heard his translation isn't that good.

They're using kickstarter so I don't see why they don't retranslate the damn thing. Then again, I heard it is a huge task to retranslate since it's so long, but still.

Total Eclipse was pretty bad. I've heard good things about Schwarzesmarken though, even if it is grimdark.

It depends if the kickstarter does well.

All we can do now is wait for the kickstarter to show up and see what stretch goals it has

It seems that apparently they're going to fix up the translation.

Tbh, the main reason I'm interested in Schwarzesmarken is because of the original character designer.

I'm not too interested in Muv Luv itself, but mostly because of the highschool shenanigans in the first game. I'm not really into that.
