because politics in america is a team sport. it doesn't matter that they're socially-regressive cavemen whose sole agenda is to advance the rich and pander to everyone else to vote against their own interest. their parents were team red, and by god, they'll be team red, too!

It's trying to have your cake and eat it too and it's total bullshit. If you personally support women, LGBT people, immigrants, and other marginalized groups but vote Republican anyway? Fuck you. You don't get to act like you support us. You just threw us all under the bus.
