I made a friend online who was cool as fuck and shared a ton of common interests with me, but as soon as he found out I'm not the type who really cares for long-distance relationships he promptly fucked right off

He was so easy to talk to and it was amazing chatting with someone who liked a lot of the same games and anime as I did

Maybe I shouldn't be surprised but I'm super bummed out right now, we used to talk for hours and hours about the shit we liked but I guess that doesn't mean as much to him as it did to me

some people can't sit there and be besties with someone they like but know they don't have a chance with

I can respect that, as much as it sucks

maybe one day I can find another cool dude who likes the same garbage I do without wanting a relationship on top of it

what garbage do you like? you can always check around those fandoms. maybe there's someone chill out there who isn't looking for a relationship.

i'm curious about your fandoms, though i understand if you'd rather not out yourself. sometimes, it's just nice to get these things off your chest. any particular reason why you'd rather find a dude friend?

oh, my bad, I have a habit of calling people dudes regardless of gender, I don't really have a preference when it comes to making friends

I'm pretty much a nobody so there's not much risk of outing myself I guess. I like a lot of older anime and manga, primarily shonens. metal gear is my favorite game franchise and anything in the same vein is usually golden with me. Shitty & gritty is how I'd describe my tastes, basically.
