rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

that's pretty much how i deal with those, plus blocking the really bad/obvious ones. i run a fairly large fandom blog and i get people trying to bait fights and drag me into fandom drama all the time, and it's never. ever. worth it.

ime ignoring those asks is the best way to deal with it, because the people who send those things just want a reaction - it doesn't matter if they're blatantly wrong, or if you have a really awesome oneliner to shut them down with, or whatever. all that matters is that you showed you'll respond to them. if you don't give them that, they get bored and go away.

ofc if the asks aren't just trolling and are over legit bad shit you did, own up to your mistakes. a sincere apology (none of this "sorry you're offended" crap) and making sure not to do it again is the best thing to do.

yeah in that case either block them or just ignore them. if they try to make a big deal about how you're ignoring them, ignore them some more. there's not really anything you can do to make it better so cut that shit loose and go on with your life.
