no. you're gross. you don't get to control character type or canon type in an open game, anon. put down your privilege. or don't fucking app. expecting people to be kept out or kicked out because of you is not okay. people are allowed to play bad guys in games. yes, even smut games. all smut games have had villains.

i've never heard of a game capping certain character types (like villains) before. i've heard of cast caps, but not type caps, so i don't think it'd be done here. i also don't think it's in good taste for a mod to get rid of characters that have already been apped into the game. i'm pretty sure that's a one-way ticket to wanksville and a ruined dwrp rep.

if it helps, despite the comparatively small pool of characters, it's relatively easy to avoid certain characters or limit interaction with a certain type. some of the villain-players have screened opt-out posts where they'll respectfully avoid tagging your character. and because of the nature of the game (smut being necessary to survive) the villains so far look like they're remaining on the down low for the time being. don't know how long that will last (villains gonna villain), but i'm sure the players would be willing to work with you if you're uncomfortable with their character.

You're not obligated to interact with any character you don't want to. If that's not good enough for you and you want the mods to kick out characters they've already accepted in order to accommodate your feelings? You're not the kind of person anyone wants in ANY game. Please never apply.

i'm really side eying this comment and i don't even go there. no games cap villains. as someone else mentioned, villains =/= rapist. not to mention you don't have to interact with anyone you don't want to. this is the weirdest case of entitlement i've ever seen. capping villains? really? it's not a fluffy slice of life game, anon. it's a goddamn survival smut game. yes, there's going to be villains.

i'm really just baffled at this. cap or get rid of? you actually want them to kick people out of a game they're in because you're not comfortable with characters being there?

op must be new to sex games if they think their idea would fly because villain/antagonist characters tend to be pretty popular in them.

when i played one they got way more interest than my heroic character (and no they weren't a rapist).

This is the most ludicrous request I've ever seen. There's nothing wrong with villains/antagonists, and the majority of the ones are avoidable in-game with a little thought and OOC communication. Their players are quite reasonable and willing to work with players so that the people they play with are cool with what goes down between their characters.

It's not like any of them are Pyramid Head. And to be quite frank, I'd rather see a well-played antagonist spice things up a bit than have none in the game.

Okay, you HAVE to be either a troll or the most entitled player I've ever seen.

Why would someone drop the character they're already playing in game for you to waltz in comfortably? No one has more right to play a character just because they're the protagonist, and flat out asking someone to drop their bad guy so you don't have to deal with them is outrageously presumptuous.

Name one other game where that's a reasonable thing to expect of anyone.

Characters learn to cope with dead characters from their canons, friend or foe, turning up in panfandom games all of the time.

Why can't you just choose an obscure character so you can be an LCW, if you don't want to deal with your character crossing paths with an old nemesis ever again?

okay, wait. there's a character already in game and they came in with a canon point and you asked them to what, change it? and they said no, but they were willing to ignore your char?

where's the fucking problem here? why the hell would you expect them to change anything about their character that they already have in the goddamn game and have been playing with? the best solution in this is having both chars ignore each other. goddammit, anon. it's not your game. you have to learn to play with others, and that includes castmates/potential castmates. if you don't like the point they're at/they don't like the one you're at, just fucking ignore each other.

Now see that has nothing to do with needing a cap for villains or kicking some out due to an oversaturation and it had everything to do with a one on one player problem. And in this case, you seem to be in the wrong.

If someone has a character you don't like in a game or a character from an inconvenient canon point for you specifically then whatever. Play a different character or just go to another game. No one is going to kick out or cap villains because you can't handle writing your character flexibly.

This is a personal problem and not a game problem.
