Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Rota's full of night god followers, it wouldn't be a stretch to say they also had priests. Does make "there is no place where that holds truer than in the village of Rota, where civilians still mourn the losses suffered in the massacre at Camp Cure" a bit weird in hindsight but I guess the Rotans don't have to be angry about specifically other Rotans.

Second half's probably more plot convenience than anything, so newbies wouldn't have to deal with it right off the bat. There's a bunch of explanations you could pull out of your ass if you needed one - they needed time to prepare or they'd get slaughtered, Vandare and Bavan are too scared of monsters to make a concentrated effort and Rotans only found out more recently, whatever. They're not the best explanations but there's nothing you can do now about mobs not happening early on in the game (and I'm kind of glad they didn't myself, however out of the blue it feels)

tbh i feel like this is a way to railroad monsters into siding with the gods. too many of us didn't so here's all these suddenly superpowered natives to deal with.

no one even has their adept boons yet, though. the only advantage aligned characters have right now is being able to go hide in Dyster/the arcade
