You're all idiots except for me

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

menstrual things are one of the topics that always piss me off. i had a foster mother that would insist the only thing i needed for cramps that made it literally impossible to move was to 'get up and walk around'. this is also the same foster mother that refused to buy me properly sized bras because she couldn't conceive of the fact that a thirteen year old had larger breasts than her. some people are just fucking dicks, anon. it sucks more when they're actually medical professionals. this is why i don't talk about what's actually wrong with me when i go to the doctor, because i'm tired of them looking at me like i'm bullshitting or being a hypochondriac and ignoring the things i'm telling them that are pretty serious and at the time of them happening, debilitating symptoms.

unless you go in bleeding from your eyes or have something visibly wrong with you, a lot of people, doctors included, like to think it's not that bad. what i wouldn't give for a device that hooked up to my head that i could hook up to them to show them just how much pain i'm actually in on any given day.
