man i wish there were more deliberately short-term games around. like you go in knowing that there's a plot with an ending and the game is expected to take maybe a year or whatever and then it's done, no dragging on indefinitely or degrading into slow-paced sol because the mods ran out of ideas.

i expect those games are hard to mod though. shame.

I don't play in it or track it, but I respect Dangan Roleplay for actually ending its arcs. Too bad it seems to be the only one.

this is the only type of game i ever modded. it was tough at times, definitely, but i had a ton of fun with it and i was very happy to be able to tell a whole story.

if i had the time, i'd run a game like this again. i miss it. :( but RL is too packed right now for that to be feasible, and realistically, i'd have to drop the current game i'm in because this kind of undertaking really does require all of your focus.
