The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

pick a canon you know little or nothing about, and describe it based on what you know of the fandom (or browsing the most recent tumblr posts for it, or fic on ao3, or whatever). see how close you get!

Steven Universe is a cartoon about a bunch of lesbian aliens who are actually rocks who adopt some kid. I think one of the rocks might want to take over the world or something? Peridot?

Dangan Rompa is Battle Royal meets Survivor starring Winnie the Pooh's goth cousin.

dragon age is a problematic medieval dating simulator about characters who speak in dialogue that is meant to be quoted and there's also combat gameplay sometimes but it's usually just about trying to hook up your character with some other character that you like a lot

supernatural is about two brothers the universe begins to revolve around. one has a forehead of doom because the actor has/had a steroid problem. angels. norse stuff? I know there was a car that mattered, does it matter any more? women die a lot.

dragon age: something about hooking up with people and elves and this isn't even about dragons is it

metal gear solid is a stealth game that involves staring at solid snake's ass for 80% of the game, with the other 20% consisting of him sneaking around in a cardboard box. the actual things called metal gears are giant mechs and don't really have much to do with the plot at all. or something. there's also characters called liquid snake, revolver ocelot, and big boss, but the plot doesn't make sense so i can never tell who or what they're supposed to be. otacon means otaku convention. also nanomachines.

durarara is about a bartender who throws vending machines at some guy in a parka.

Red vs Blue is about two brightly-colored military groups that are fighting for vaguely defined reasons. Oh and the series goes from being really silly to super serious later on.

steven universe is about magical sentient rocks that are also girls. the pink one is fat.

yowapedal is about gay boys and biking, and winning through the power of your gay love. one of the main characters is an otaku neckbeard. oh and there's an alien lizardman wearing a human skinsuit that bikes too.

fate/ is a medieval fantasy game about characters fighting to win the holy grail. the power levels can go off the charts, and there are a billion different versions of it, some where you can have sex with the other characters and some where you can't.

Kuroko no Basuke is a basketball animanga and Kuroko is probably the protag? IDK because I never see him anywhere. Some redhead named Kagami and some blond named Kise are really important. There's a guy with purple hair and dark skin named Aomine? I don't know what any of the plot is, but presumably it's as gay and shounen as your average sports animu.

Everyone wants to be hokage but they're all incompetent so everything is fucked

rwby is about magical girls who are in a magical girl school and some of them are sisters and some of them date each other, also there is a catgirl

Doctor Who is about an alien who travels through time in a magical phone booth who is also a lady, somehow, and collects a different chick every time he reincarnates

Also weird fashion choices and angst, lots of angst

teen wolf is about the adventures of a gay werewolf named derek who has lots of subtext with another gay werewolf named stiles

there are other characters, some of whom are also gay werewolves, but they have little relevance to the plot in comparison to the great and wonderful derek hale
