You're all idiots except for me

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

i've had so many game ideas that never got off the ground.

one of them was a game based in a dream fantasy world where characters could come and go, unless they were dead or in a coma and then they would permanently live in the world. the dream world was the world all universes were connected to and it was collapsing so the characters would need to save it to keep their worlds from being destroyed in the process. it was action/adventure, missions getting to explore and find new things about the world or get supplies or special items needed to keep the world from dying.

every so often if things weren't being done fast enough one of the connected universes would be destroyed but it would be done on a volunteer/rng basis by players signing up their character's home world to get destroyed. if one person from a cast wanted it and the rest didn't it would be assumed they were from very similar alternate universe. then they would be trapped in the dream world like all the dead/coma characters. players whose characters actually lived in the world would gain the benefits of their characters becoming native enough to learn how to manipulate the dream world's reality, though.

i don't see how it could have been done as anything but a small close knit game and i didn't have enough interest in the people i knew to start it up.

This is a fun idea, I'd have totally played at something like that.
