The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i'm telling you to grow the fuck up because, speaking from personal experience, you're never going to get the validation you're looking for and it's just going to make you bitter and petty for a long time

Well on some level you don't know because otherwise you wouldn't be doing it.

i think with me personally it's one of those issues of "how the world should logically work from my perspective" vs "how the world actually works". this isn't the only thing i have this issue with. i have some very warped perceptions on how things work, and while i know they don't actually work that way, in my mind it makes SENSE for it to work that way so i keep trying expecting a different result.

and i KNOW these things but it just doesn't register in my brain. inb4 jokes about me being autistic because i actually am.
