You're all idiots except for me

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I figure a lot of characters will be attached to things they had at home (particularly with a horror situation making homesickness worse), am expecting clubs to be a gradual/later thing. The character I'm apping at least has a completely ridiculous attachment to the thing that I'm thinking about having a club for so it isn't too farfetched even in extreme situations.

I'm also wondering if clubs might not be one of the initial ways to get a space to call your own in the school, at least. It's not much, but I could see it being a safety blanket in several ways for a lot of characters.

the more i'm thinking about it, a few characters could get the idea that it's a good way to organize pcs across multiple classes, without doing something that would immediately strike npcs as suspicious. the twice weekly meeting of the card game appreciation club is so much less obvious than twenty students whispering in a corner somewhere for "no reason".

From what I've seen of the game info so far, I'm not sure the NPCs would go so far to monitor what the students are doing (in fact, I'm not sure even twenty students whispering would incite any reaction if no outright rulebreaking is involved), though of course things may change in the future or during events. It would be an interesting IC motivation for characters who are naturally suspicious or stealthy, at least!

And also, for sure, it's a good way to bring characters together in general.
