rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

yeah, she does. not too fond of rika's new sprite, either. i'm not a fan of the new art style in general. it might grow on me like the hamhands did, though.

i think the kizuna sprites are the best, so i kinda wish someone would rip those and make a patch for them instead of just the ps2 sprites.

just got to rika's intro and i gotta agree her sprite looks just as off as rena's is. while the old art was pretty ugly, they at least looked like the characters had some life in them and i'm glad mangagamer included an option to play the game with the old art instead.

knowing the fanbase, there's a good chance someone might make the ps2 sprite patch compatible with the new pc version sooner or later.

apparently the game is mod-friendly

no clue if that means the current sprite patches for the old version will work on the new version or if we have to wait for someone to make a new sprite patch

The fandom is way ahead of you.

Someone made a graphic mod that lets you replace the updated sprites with the PS2/PS3 sprites along with the inclusion of some of the CGs from those versions. You can also replace the original backgrounds with the PS2/PS3 backgrounds too if you prefer.

oh, wow. thanks, anon. i'd been getting used to the new art style - it's not too shabby on its own - but this is perfect.
