i'll probably bring an anime but i'd like to see/choose some western-based characters too. does anyone have plans to bring those because i'd love an idea of who could gel well with the premise.

Most of the people I know are apping animanga too, so can't help you there, anon! I do hope we get a wide variety of mediums, though, variety being the spice of life and all. I think a lot of popular LA canons are more populated with adult characters, though, which might mean we're looking at more western animation-based apps from that end.

thinking about it harder i do agree that western animation would be a good fit, but i feel like there are some LA canons that could do great in this setting as well and hopefully i see them come test drive day. shows with supernatural teenagers would be great to see especially as they'll be without their powers, adult characters who are used to the weird might think that this is just a one-off adventure until they realize they're trapped in there... hmm... hopefully this will inspire some people!

I'm planning on bringing in a western LA character. They have powers in their canon but I'm looking forward to playing them in a strange situation without any so I'm planning to regain their powers fairly slowly.

Western LA characters adjusting to Japanese-style schooling on top of the horror elements would be really interesting for sure. Good luck, anon!

Getting some adult characters who are used to weirdness or investigating weird happenings (crime dramas being pretty popular all around, or, idk, Supernatural or MiB or something lol) in on the fun would be great. I considered an adult myself (animanga, though) but am holding off until I get a better feel for the game since he's a bit of a complicated character to transplant into RP. In terms of LA kids I'm secretly rooting for Harry Potter characters, you never see those around anymore.
