I'm getting into reading comics "properly" for the first time in my life and I'm loving it. Previously I'd only really read the odd issue of Adventure Time, but now I've amassed a good $100-worth of comics on my Comixology wishlist (most of them DC titles) and intend on buying a small number of them each paycheck.

What comics do you read, anons? And do you buy your comics in digital or in print? In case of the latter, do you have a subscription or do you make regular treks to your local comics store to pick them up?

I read Fables, Wonder Woman, Y: The Last Man (HIGHLY recommend), NYC Mech, Morning Glories, Tank Girl, and the Hawkeye reboot (also highly recommend, even though volume 3 is overdue for release by, like, two years).

I am amazed that Matt Fraction is done at Marvel, has been done at Marvel forever, and it's not done yet because David Aja is the slowest artist alive.

At this rate, there's no way his Hawkeye ends before the first trade of the Lemire run is out.

Is that what's slowed things down so much? That sucks. I like Aja's art, but it's such a simple style that there is no reason for the work to be taking so long!

Saga and Batwoman rn. I read them in print since my college bookstore usually has them.

+1 to saga, it's so good

I used to download new issues and then buy the trade paperback if I liked the story. lately, I've been thinking about getting the marvel subscription service for digital comics so I can catch up again. I think it's $10 a month for unlimited back catalog reading, but there's nothing newer than 6 months on it. DC might have something similar, but idk.

DC doesn't, but they really should get on that.

currently i'm keeping up with velvet, silk, ms. marvel, and tomb raider but i'm always looking to add to my pre-reboot birds of prey collection. i buy in print and trek to my comic shop. i'm unamerican so there's a week delay but i like supporting the store.

Mostly I'm a trade waiter for Saga, Ms Marvel and Fables. I have a pull list at my comic shop that includes Squirrel Girl and all the current Star Wars titles.

I prefer to read in print because I don't like reading off a computer screen, a phone is too small and it's just not worth buying a tablet when the only thing I would personally use it for would be comics.

Just reading Saga, Baltimore, and Low right now. Had been keeping up with Wicked + Divine but lost interest. I followed Ms Marvel and Fraction's Hawkeye pretty heavily, with some Supergirl but eh. Kinda done with heroes.

Picking up Alabaster once it comes out again over the summer.

nowadays I'm only reading The Wicked + the Divine. I buy it digital cause there's no comic book store in my area. :( though, my library has a greeeeat graphic novel selection, so I've been reading Loki: Agent of Asgard, Starman, and the Before Watchmen series that way.

(if you want comic recs more like 'this is what I liked and I rec people to read it', check out Brian K Vaughn's run on Runaways, the 1980s Firestar miniseries, and Nextwave)

+1ing Saga, The Wicked and the Divine and Morning Glories, and adding Rat Queens.

I'm still just getting into it too, and I'm not really interested in superheroes, but definitely +1ing the Saga rec.

Also following Sex Criminals, Fables like everyone else, and I picked up a couple more things to read at a convention recently. Waiting for the trade for Tooth and Claw too- I picked up the first issue on a whim and it looks like fun.

I read IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ongoing + whatever miniseries they do. It's a great read, tickles all my nostalgia buttons while still being very fresh and different, the ongoing stands alone fine by itself but the minis add some great shit to fill in the blanks if you read them all too.

I've read some Marvel titles here and there in the past, but it's kind of refreshing to just get everything in a single title and not feel like I'm missing something important because I don't follow anything else.

Print comics all the way, for me, and I make a couple trips a month to the comic shop.

As for what I'm reading? Saga in trades, some Adventure Time in trades, The Wicked + The Divine, Ms. Marvel, and a few IDW titles - some of their Transformers stuff (primarily Windblade and More than Meets the Eye) and Jem.

I'm planning on adding Spider-Gwen and Rat Queens at some point - the latter probably in trades, the former in issues.
