rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i'm asexual and all this demi/grey shit makes me extremely embarrassed, i don't want people to associate me with that

i don't even consider myself queer, it's so dumb, being ace has no impact on my life whatsoever besides people asking annoying questions sometimes

not everybody has to be queer, it's ok, you are special in other ways that isn't related to your sexual preference. it's ok.

Same. The extent of oppression I feel for being a complete sex-indifferent asexual is when my step mother asks me "When are you going to get married and have a baby?" And even that is more of a minor annoyance than anything harmful to my psyche.

I get so embarrassed when people try to use asexuality (or worse when it's demisexuality/grey-asexuality) as a special snowflake club membership.

I guess the one and only thing that's truly depressing about being ace (for me) is the lack of committed companionship. I want someone to share my life with, but there's a hurdle of finding someone compatible with me and comfortable with my lack of interest in sex to get passed.
