Potential new player next round.

How would an extremely dominant personality work out as a mongrel character? They're a stubborn hard ass with a huge power boner.

Will that make things too difficult or ? Of course I'm interested in cutting them down to size but also worried I won't be given enough reason/interaction/plot to do so.

Maybe something like:

* Backstory where by the time you intro in the game, your char has already been living there several months and had multiple painful altercations with the local cops.

* Work something out with another player where your character gets advised to not be a shitlord and they take that advice to heart.

* Work something out with other player(s) where you have a player plot of your character having pissed off some mongrel gang full of godmodes, so they're held captive or something and have to be rescued.

* Intro the character as injured or wounded in some way, so they can't be a shitlord right off the bat anyway.

* (hardest) Ask mod-chan when the next opportunity to get a shitlord cut down to size would be, plot-wise, and apply for a plot post slot.

I think most players (and mod-chan) are pretty fun, flexible, and ready to engage a new person, especially if you're willing to put in the effort to make your character fit into the setting.

I don't think you'll have many problems, there are a lot of dominant mongrels who manage to fit well within the setting without many problems. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in plot (both with the main plot events or AC rewards), so you don't need to worry about not getting involved in that aspect. Those would even help cut them "down to size", if players don't get to you first... and I'm sure they would!

Definitely not! CR where your character doesn't come out on top is some of the most interesting, in my opinion. Buut I enjoy breaking down the designated heroes, so take that with a grain of salt.

I'm playing out this exact character arc with my dominant/headstrong mongrel, and it's awesome. 10/10 would recommend.

Aerith's player was in the game with Kallen already so I don't think she counts. Really fun to read though.

Seconding Ryuko as well as the Iori and Inumuta, we got a great KLK cast this round. Kanda too.

I'm enjoying everyone this round. I think it was one of our best!

i'm so excited for this big finale!

but it looks like there are more and more people using disguises. i hope the mod is planning to counteract that somewhere down the line! my character is the type to use a disguise too, but it's no fun if they never get caught.

I'd say it's more of the mid-season climax, really. Like, we're about to hit episode 12 or 13.

I'm not sure how this feels like a finale. It feels big, sure, but doesn't every month?

Your thoughts? Major plans? Hate it, love it?

Love it! I was expecting this eventually.

I'm surprised because it feels like this happened relatively quickly! I don't mean that in a bad way, though. Tana keeps me on my toes and I like that. I guess my perspective might be kind of skewed as well. The game has been going for five months, and I don't expect the ranks will stay this way forever.

Regarding plans, I'm still figuring out what to do. My character will try to take advantage of this without burning too many bridges though, because they've now seen how quickly things can change at the drop of a hat.

I love it! I knew it was always a possibility, but it gives me an interesting arc to play through for my character. I can't wait to play around with all the new opportunities.
