honestly, if you only wanted to play in this game to rank up and make your character a BAMF via boons, please don't app. we don't need more powergamers.

i can't think of a single game that lets you come in with a shit ton of power (unless it's maybe an AU game). yes, if you've only been in the game for a week, you probably can't put your character at the forefront of the metaplot, boo hoo. if you honestly believe that anything without a mod reward attached (as in: everything that makes up most other DWRP games that don't have a rank system) is pointless, and if you don't want to play unless your character is cool and powerful and respected by all, you're not the kind of player we need.

i think everyone should just chill on every side this is getting dumb, though i'm sure some people are just stirring things up for the sake of it

i don't really think we're getting all up in arms. tbh, this is a pretty decent conversations with a few spurts of 'no u' on either side, but for an anon comm thread? it's mostly informative and actually getting somewhere on either side. for the most part, most each threads are pretty civil. (not that we haven't gotten gross and stupid in other threads, but not nearly as often as some games have.)

i don't want my character to be super amazing and control the plot

i just want them to be relevant at all, and able to keep up with more established characters.

why are you so hung up on the mods giving quests. pcs have been giving quests for months, anon, and more people have taken those than mod quests.

Your character doesn't need to be particularly strong or anything to be relevant. I've been in the game for a while and I've seen a good amount of low-powered characters involved in the metaplot. It's just because of the really loud power players people have been talking bout a lot lately that everyone seems to think characters have to be powerful to get involved.
