Congratsulations, you're such an asset

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

oh, no, i totally get that and i know it's shit, but what i was trying to point out was that there is already a precedent for 'fae' being all encompassing.

and frankly, 'mythology' being wrong is all about perspective. they're not doing nosferatu myths or actual werewolf/fae myths. it's urban fantasy. it's all going to have its own flavor. it'd be like me pointing out what type of 'fae' laurell k hamilton had. or the fae in any sort of urban fantasy. it's all fiction, so really, trying to say that this fake creature is more real than that fake creature is a pretty ridiculous argument. (lost girl is still shit and so is hamilton)

but this isn't about celtic fae/mythology or japanese lore or tibet myths or greek mythology. this is just taking the generalization of the fake creatures and giving them specific categories that they likely fit under. heck, just look at vampire, for instance. the different types of them are legion. some can't be around silver, religious artifacts, garlic, cross running water, be in sun, eat, be reflected in a mirror or filmed... some can.

tldr, i'm really big into fables and things like that and i just think that the idea of someone trying to 'beat the system' set up by a mod who clearly invested a lot of time into this just to fit their own special thing into its own special category is crap.
