(Anonymous) 2015-04-18 02:54 am (UTC)(link)i never met up with anyone but i cut ties when they refused to come clean with me. it's one thing if you're not comfortable sharing actual photos of yourself and we're just friends, but don't show me photos of "yourself" and photos of your dog, but absolutely no photos with you AND your dog especially if you're interested in dating me. i had one friend who told me too many lies that contradicted each other and i will have none of that bullshit. i hate liars.
i had one guy accuse me of catfishing him "with old photos" (WEEKS old) on okcupid once. i didn't lie about being chubby or use fancy angles to hide my flab and thunder thighs, but he was astonished!!! at how different i looked. he was even surprised at how short i was when, um, i had my exact height right in my profile and emphasized how i'm a shorty. but i looked through his facebook (he insisted we add each other) and his past posts were a bunch of nice guy quotes about how "i'm so nice, i put girls on pedestals and don't expect sex on the first date, teehee" so i'm glad he was a douche upfront.
