I know the OP of that anoncomm thread, what is it you were wanting to know about their RP?

I know I'm not the one you're directing the question at, but I want to know if they decided whether it will be on LJ or DW and if it will still be opening this month?

LJ and since this month's almost over I'm thinking that's a resounding 'no', BUT from what I hear it'll be advertised and reserves/apps will be open in just a couple more weeks.

One of the mods is a little OCD, so she doesn't want to miss anything.

Whoops, by "this month" I meant January, hehe. Kind of disappointed it'll be on LJ. :(

And from the sounds of it, she and her co-mod weighed the pros and cons of LJ, and the way it ended up, this RP has been since last January in coming (if you were on anoncomm back then, she was 'futurezombierpg' and polling the masses for input/brainstorming) and moving to DW would require a lot of their coding to be entirely reworked, and I know she worked hours and hours over it to start with. Plus she's seeing almost ever RP ever move over to DW and there are about ten or so RPers in each game that are left behind in this 'what do I even do now?' abandoned sort of limbo here on LJ, so she really wants to give them something to be excited about.

There were a few more reasons too, but those are the ones I remember because those are the ones I relate to. rofl

That makes sense! The only reason I'm kind of meh about it is because I don't really want to give LJ any more money. But I'll probably end up apping anyway because like I said, I've been waiting for a zombie game foreverrr.

NGL i lost all hope when you mentioned futurezombierp. That plotting was done almost a year ago (I remember replying to the entry about it), and then the game never moved anywhere. I can't say I have much faith in the mod already and I can't see the game being any good or succeeding if it's taken her a year to get up off her ass and make it. Even after polling for all the feedback. It just sounds to me like a half-assed job on her behalf.

A car wreck, family health problems, and graduating college kind of do that to a person? Then again, you didn't know any of that so I really don't blame you for feeling that way. =X

If the person has such a busy life then they shouldn't be setting up a game. They should get their priorities right.

Not that I particularly care about their life either. Everyone goes through their own shit, you don't need to advertize everything that happened to them.

Had, not has. I was just explaining that they realized the early part of the year wasn't a great time for setting up a game, and now they've finally got things together and have time to mod. Technically, from what I've seen they've had stuff more-or-less ready for a while, but they didn't want to open it while they weren't positive they should handle it.

And I didn't advertise everything that happened to them. Just the parts I felt explained why 'getting her shit together' wasn't the concern?

You seem incredibly determined to drag this mod through the dirt before she even has a chance. Is there a reason why?

Not sure who you are (to know all that went on this past year) and I appreciate you sticking up for me but let's say we stop this here and let the game's success (or failure, even, I can't say for sure) speak for itself?

All your friend had to do was say "the person had a lot of RL problems at the time", instead of replying the way they have done and starting throwing accusations at me of having a grudge against you etc.

But, best of luck to you if you decide to go through with making the game.

I understand that, I didn't find out about this thread until after the said what they said or I would have cut in a little earlier. My scolding tone was at them, not you.

And it's actually almost entirely made. I'd offer a link or two, but the last thing being put together is formatting and I don't want it circulating while it's still hideous like this. The tentative date for reserves is the 20th, LJ-permitting.

I think you're misreading what I'm saying. I said I don't have faith in it, that's quite different from dragging through the dirt. If I wanted to do as such, I'd be phrasing my sentences entirely different. I am so sorry you seem to think that I am supposed to actually care about a complete stranger on the internet, I don't even know who this person is.

Honestly you're starting to sound like a whiteknight who's making a much bigger deal out of this whole post than it originally was. Step back from the computer hun, breathe.
