Singularity is discussing it, but the mods are waiting to see if a rollback happens first.

Personally I wish they wouldn't wait- I'd love to see it move, but I understand them not wanting to be rash.

Eh, moving for fun wouldn't be fun for a lot of people, probably. Moving because LJ keeps putting their foot in it is a worthy cause though.

Carolyn here, on my as-yet-totally-unconfigured Flynn account. /o/

All of the mods are culturally Christian, so this is about the worst time for something like this to happen (thanks LJ, you're a peach.) We're aiming to get a discussion post up immediately after the holiday, when we can be around to monitor the conversation, since this is a fraught topic. (On Christmas I will be up in Nowheresville, New Hampshire with no data signal on my phone, trying not to strangle any cousins. Non-optimal for modding.)

What I've seen so far is that players are mostly in favor of/apathetic about but not outright opposed to a move, but people who want to stay on LJ might be keeping quiet in the face of a lot of sentiment to the contrary, and we would like everyone to have a chance to weigh in. It's much easier for people to get up the courage to express dissenting opinions if they know there's going to be strong moderation of the discussion threads.
