I kinda like that, given the emphasis on varying family types we seem to be giving the idea.

so should it be set during modern times then? the era of cellular phones, ipods, etc?

i'd prefer modern times. it's difficult for people to get another era right.

also we've already heard from Mayfielders, they already seem to think we're stepping on their toes.

I'd go with a modern setting, maybe a suburb or gated community sort of thing?

It would probably help if we stop referring to Mayfield in our quick description of the game. XD

Agreed. :) Other than the housing setup, there really isn't much Mayfield in here anymore.

It's nice to have a reasonable in-game explanation for network-style posts, anyway. People could actually be using the various social media that it's imitating.
