I actually can't think of anything but Margaret quotes now--including my first comment. It was fun while it lasted.

i managed to keep some semblance of bare minimum activity going for about a month in the foolish hope that the game would improve after being talked into apping there by a friend.

it didn't. it just got worse and more stupid until i couldn't stand it anymore.

the mods being controlling, rude assholes sure didn't help matters either.

a month of my time wasted there. a month i'll never get back. never, ever again.

In need of opinions: will I have a hard time by playing a straight male character who's fairly uptight about women in this game? Or are there enough game mechanics in place to loosen him up a little? I'm really interested in this game but want to make sure he could fit in.

A game loosely based on Animal Crossing with some horror-ish elements. Characters who are apped to the game see themselves as they are in canon but would see everyone else as walking, talking animals. Their memories are somewhat murky to begin with, but can become more clear as they take part in various plots and events. As time passes they might start to take on animalistic characteristics themselves but these could be kept at bay via plot involvement and memory regain!

I'm thinking something lasting about a year to a year and a half? I have some other ideas that could use ironing out if anyone else is interested.

yeah the main problem is the monster encounters and some players might want to use certain transformation items that the character doesn't so a way to force it would be nice.

i dunno how would you seperate it into monster turned characters and not? i gues you could make it mandatory that each player have an npc monster type character that they have to play? definitely it would be npc heavy.

Anon I'm allowed to have people I prefer not to play with. I'm not about to try and wank you out of existence because you have a right to play here just like anyone else, but I'm not about to tag you with any amount of enthusiasm either. It's okay, you don't need everyone to want to play with you.

You're absolutely allowed to have preferences (and not to tag me). I just find it kind of questionable to reply to a newbie, especially one who's already feeling unwelcome, with a comment solely intended to make them (and anyone else who might not suit your personal taste) feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Sign. i've been rereading Berserk.

The intent was to bring up reasons why people might not be "interested in tagging them back." In my personal experience game transplants/CRAUs aren't widely liked by those unfamiliar with the game they're transplanting from, and characters belonging to large casts are more likely to drop their cross-canon CR because their cast becomes their obligation/priority.

Perhaps their character isn't a good fit for the game, or just doesn't happen to fit the preferences of the people they're tagging.

There's one person I would tell because we've been friends for over a decade, have met irl, talked on the phone, talk about non-RP stuff all the time, and I do think she would worry about me and miss me if I just disappeared. I just tell her what the doctors said while trying my hardest to make it sound as nice as possible. I don't know how you make something like that sound nice.

For everyone else I'd just say that due to some rl circumstances I wasn't able to RP anymore, drop my games, and leave it at that. Then I'd focus on trying to prolong my life as long as possible and spending time with my important rl friends.
