rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

To be fair, most RPers are also really bad at actually remembering to give out characters' names in the first place.

If we had a thread with some kind of meet cute setup and the characters clicked well until one or both of us dropped the thread, I'm going to assume name-giving was handwaved between that thread and our next.

Everyone knows that cabbage lovers are evil murderers. Even when they don't actually like cabbage.

Don't think of it as embarrassing! Think of it as a public service! If you're that person, they can all be comfortable knowing that they're not.

If Fencer steps down, she'd be quickly replaced. Do you know how big this fucking fandom is? People would be upset, yeah. Of course. But they'd fucking pick up the pieces in a second. I've seen it happen in smaller fandoms, and it'd happen in this one too. The only reason we """rely""" on her is because she puts shit out the fastest and because we expect it.

Hell yeah, chase her out of the fandom. It's just doujin and magazine translations anyway. No big loss. Personally I'm not going to read the High Speed! manga if she's the one who translates it anyway.

actually if you wanna split hairs here, anyone who makes use of what's distributed isn't under any legal pressure. however if someone buys and DISTRIBUTES it with or without profit, that's what's illegal. so unless you're printing her doujin and selling/giving it away, you're fine.

it's just that nobody could nail her with that because she and the merch are from japan and technically no one has said no, so... she's basically fucking the fence right now. (ha. ha.) despite the fact that the reason nobody has said no is because she goes out of her way to make sure no one can see her work to say no about it.

it's basically just a terribad thing to do ethically and people have become pariahs for less.

I saw the worst case of this at an SPN convention. This one girl became so notorious for her awkward questions by the evening of the first day that the room audibly groaned when she stepped up to the mic.

considering how many of us are dramatic tittybabies, chances are slim that you'd actually get a responsible one. most likely you'd get one who thinks everything is "problematic", has too much anxiety to go to work, and doesn't pay their share of the bills. and god fucking help you if they have an animal.

god damn... i've been a mod before and i've been missing it for a while. i like running plots and playing npcs and making sure lists are perfect, but i don't want to be in the game as a player. unfortunately it's a requirement in like every game now.
