i'd love to see a got-inspired au game, but mod-determined allegiances and mod-determined roles are going to be a big dealbreaker for a lot of au players. it would be hard to write a canon-compliant au backstory and explain the character's social position/affiliations/relationships with other characters/etc. if players don't know which family they'd be assigned to. if you're worried about game balance you can always close apps for one family until the balance recovers.
