i agree. it's a dumb thing to argue about so thats why its silly to act like looms are any definitive statement on the character's sexuality.

why would they be anyway. if they're taken as canon that just means gallifreyans don't reproduce naturally anymore. that doesn't mean they can't have recreational sex

it doesn't mean they do, either, but come on. using looms as an argument for asexuality doesn't really work any better than saying they don't exist works as an argument for him being straight/gay/bi/pan/whatever

sorry for being unclear but that's what i meant. trying to argue looms are canon/not-canon for the purpose of the doctor's sexuality is pointless.
