haha, this actually sounds fun, but i don't actually know squat about yugioh aside from the abridged series silliness.

early abridged series has a lot of direct quotes from the dub so you might be able to manage playing someone, maybe

early yugioh pretty much completely ignores the rules of the actual game

I'm a bit late but I play some duelists and this sounds hilarious. I might be game if you don't mind some slowness.
