no more massive "2-3 personality traits and that's it" casts either, please, those were annoying when they were piling into every game possible. a tall order for fire emblem, i know, but still.

the trailer look pretty and i really liked the music in the second half, but i doubt the game will be anything ground-breaking. pretty much looks like what we got with awakening which while good was by no means the FLAWLESS MASTERPIECE it often got made out to be.

and that's fine because i'll take consistently solid entries in a franchise with a winning formula over hit-or-miss gimmick attempts. see: sonic.

yeah, definitely. like i can understand why fe:a is so popular, especially with people new to the franchise but at the same time, it was honest to god awful with the plot and characters. with the previous games, you at least had a handful of characters with personality and some sort of development in specific support conversations but fe:a was terrible with everyone.

basically i'm happy if we get another sacred stones. it doesn't have to be super unique. solid and fun again is all i'm asking for.

No FE game is well-written.

i don't think the FE games are that super horrible as a whole, but seeing this person shit on awakening and then suck on the cock of sacred stones is obnoxious as hell

I don't think they're super horrible, but they're pretty mediocre all around.

The localizations/translations are superb, though, which I think has given a lot of western fans the impression that they're better written than they are.

...okay? not really seeing how someone saying they feel one game was stronger than a more recent game in the same series is special snowflake behavior.

this is just an obnoxious elitist type of behavior. awakening was huge in an otherwise dead series. of course they're gonna keep an avatar, why act surprised and mighty about it
