Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

speaking of ac, it sure does feel like a lot of people failed it this time around. i don't think i've ever seen so many comments talking about failing activity and talking to the mods in one post before.

tbh I think they need to lower the AC count. Luceti isn't as fast as it used to be and these days it can be difficult to make 30 comments in only three threads even if you're tagging actively. I average around 8-12 threads going for my character at any given time and I still had to ask a friend to boomerang some tags with me because none of the threads I had going quite added up to 30.

This. Either lower the AC count or allow it to be made with more threads. Ryslig allows up to 5 threads for a 20 comment AC, and it's a more active game. If anything, I think allowing for up to 6 threads for a 30 comment AC would help encourage people to tag around a bit more.

tagging around and spreading yourself as thin as possible doesn't make you active. if you can't keep threads up for longer than 5 comments, you need to evaluate whether you should even be in a game or not.

The problem isn't tagging out too much and not being able to keep the other threads going long enough though. The problem with keeping it to three threads is that you have to wait for the other person to tag you back before you can do the next one. If your inbox is empty what are you supposed to do other than tag out to new things?

This. THIS THIS THIS.

If the other person constantly takes over two days to tag you back (and believe me, a lot of taggers in Luceti do this), how can you be expected to get 10+ comments of your own in that thread within the AC deadline?

Bump it up to four threads, maybe. Six threads for a 30 comment AC is a little silly, imo.

They won't. Players have been asking this for at least 3 years and they've refused on multiple occasions, even if how slow the game is dictates that they really should.
