I don't think it's fair to toss those two under the bus just because they don't tag out as frequently as the others do. obviously they do more than just "show up once every month or two" or they wouldn't still be in the game, having to pass the activity check each month.

also if they have good characterization, playing the two most dynamic characters of their canon, how can they be uninteresting to thread with? that statement is rather contradictory...

actually the ryuko has had to go one activity warning at least once for not even showing up. she does barely anything to start with, and when she does it's pretty much just with her cast.

is it a crime to go on activity warning status? thats what it's there for if you get behind on things bc of rl. also unless you're the mun- which considering the topic at hand i severely doubt it- i don't see how you could keep tabs on everything they do or know who all they thread with. it's pretty normal in my opinion for someone to have more threads with castmates, especially with as large of a cast as they have there.

and the activity warning status wouldn't mean anything if it weren't reflective of general activity, and the fact is ryuko pretty literally only shows up once or twice a month.

anon, you sound really defensive and it's making you look bad.

it definitely wouldn't be right to call certain characters worse just because their castmates tag out a lot, but that isn't what's happening here. people are saying that they are gone enough that it's having a negative effect on their performance in game.

but a player can totally have a character's speech patterns and motivations and whatever else nailed down and still send out tags that aren't engaging. believe it or not, it is impossible to have a grasp on a character's voice and still fail to infuse tags with spark. i saw shades of this on satsuki's latest network post, but i haven't read enough of her in action elsewhere to know if this is worth taking to her hmd.
