I stand corrected.

My only experience with needing new activity within the last year has been needing to put up a new post. I and the people I know were never offered the option of just starting new threads, which would have made things a lot easier.

May just be different communications, then.

Yep, had to do that a few times too. Also if you came up short in three threads back when I was still in the game, didn't matter if you had other threads you were doing that would put you over 30 just fine if you came up just a tiny bit short, still had to post new activity even if you were doing stuff with the character.

just pointing out that the ac text itself says Either post an entry or do a few threads, but you must link to your new activity and prove that you're playing the characters again.

i don't know how long that's been the case but it's clearly a part of the rules now.
