Just focus on having fun and making sure other people have fun too. Don't force it. Just enjoy the threads you have, and as long as you're having fun and you respect the fun of other people (don't use them solely so your character can have their ship/angst/whatever and don't treat them solely like a tag machine who delivers tags whenever you're bored) they will want to thread with you.
