what's the appeal of glass vs other materials, if you don't mind?

i have this fear that a glass dildo would somehow break inside me :( i'm curious to try them but i think i'd just be so irrationally scared that it'd be hard to get into the mood while using it

i've never tried a glass toy before today so i really can't give a detailed answer! i really like the texture though and i think it's a lot easier to clean than other materials would be. apparently you can also warm/cool it in water before using it which is interesting and something i will probably try out sooner or later.

There are a few advantages! Glass is much easier to clean because it's non-porous. It's just glass so it's great is your especially sensitive or allergic to other common material like latex or silicone. There's also no risk of any putting weird chemicals that might be present in plastic in your body. People hear 'glass' and think of standard dishware glass, but glass dildos are actually usually made of pyrex! They're actually very durable. Glass also won't melt if you put the wrong sort of lubricant on it.

On entirely personal note, they hold temperatures well so they're absolutely fantastic for temperature play. And they're also just pretty to look at.

In order to avoid sounding like an infomercial, I will however point out that their biggest weakness is that they're expensive. I'm talking like $40 for a plain (both in shape and decoration) bottom tier dildo expensive.
