this was inspired by the anon that wanted a game with plot but not serious, and anons who always ask for games with: decided endgame and characters going to the game world by their own choice instead of being kidnapped.

your character gets some sort of spirit/messanger/genie/etc appearing in front of them, making an offer: if they go to this world and win some sort of contest, this magical npc will make their biggest dream come true. (and to prove they can they pull some magic on the spot, etc)

what they get when they arrive is some kind of "amazing race". they can team up if they want but it's not obligatory. characters can conspire in secret against others, team up but ditch everyone in the end, etc. all powers are left intact except for game breaking stuff (teletransportation, reality bending to an extent, etc)

the race would last... a year maybe? and when it finishes, the losers can stay in game instead of dropping to participate again the next year to try again. that way both players who like endgames and the ones who like to stay with their cr are covered. death would be permanent: if your character dies, they lose and are out of the race (aka they should drop)

what about the winner you ask? well, there musn't be one if nobody wants to win/drop, there will be npcs. people from other random worlds are coming to participate too! so players can invent random npc participants that their characters encounter in the trip for shenanigans. did you insult that group of centaurs over there? oops.

monthly or bimonthly events would be the challenges for the characters to get closer to winning, an open world with lots of areas to go through, from snowy mountains to the ocean, from desert worms to fairies in the forest. but players of course can come up with all sorts of trouble and miniplots that their own characters do on the way, leaving the thing open for both mod and player plots. the mods would give a description of the general area, but the players can encounter whatever they want in there as long is between the limits of the game. you want a yeti to fight in the snowy mountains? you have it!

if someone wants more serious or gory stuff, they can have it in their party by having someone seriously sick from a monster bite. a character doesn't want to go back to their world and live in this one? they can stay, stick to sol and maybe open a cafe where racers stop by to rest. you want some plot, just stick to the race challenges that keep your character motivated.

that's it for now. i'm not very good with coming up for monthly challenges or know enough about fandoms to judge apps, but if someone wants to be main mod, i'll glady help with the rest.
