I'm looking around at other roaches while I do so so I can balance design features I want with actual IRL species.

i'm really partial to that sky blue one with the yellow edge, just, like, in general, but they're all really gorgeous <3

(though to be honest if i was designing a femme-ish roach lady i'd probably base her on a death's head cockroach, because yes. so much yes. :D )

(I started with sherbet-y colours then started referencing rosy maple moths because I do these things backwards like an idiot.)

aaaaaaaaaaaah, so many pretty roaches, holy hell species will be a hard choice.

If all else fails maybe I'll make her one of the common brown flying types with no pretty markings and have her be super proud of how shiny and 'luxurious' her exoskeleton is and get super mad when anyone suggests she isn't cute.
