late to the party and you may not even see this, but why did you feel his character was ruined?

i think it read fairly strongly like he was scrabbling at any foothold he could get in vriska's abusive treatment of him, in a misguided but not unreasoned attempt to find a way to get out from under her thumb; while on my first reading i was very much like "TAVROS, NO," he has not always shown the greatest logic while up against Vriska, and I REALLY cannot blame him for trying to stay in her good graces (though often passive-aggressively) when she and Aranea were throwing ghosts at LE like breadcrumbs at a giant green skullduck.

BUT THOSE ARE JUST MY THOUGHTS and while I don't think it was handled super-gracefully, I am WAY down with the way that arc ended with him just going "yeah fuck this i'm outie," because yeah fuck Vriska's noise.
