it's obviously some anon who thinks they're being clever and is now trying to drive home the point DEAD GAME IS DEAD LET IT GOOOOOO in the most immature fashion imaginable

that being said, i highly doubt anyone "hacked" in. someone on the mod side was careless and someone who shouldn't have had the password got it anyway. that's not hacking, it's called being responsible with who has admin access, and they weren't. probably removed someone from the team, didn't change the passwords, and boom, there's your culprit.

and yeah, it really isn't a big deal unless someone sent in their credentials through clear text or something in an e-mail. in which case they deserve what they get for being dumb.

as someone that was a mod and a mod helper at more than one game, we changed passwords every few months and every time someone came and left. every account had a different password, random caps and random punctuation and numbers and other symbols.

if you use the same password and don't change it you're an irresponsible mod. based on what i saw in that plurk, i would be voting whoever rebecca is off the island just based on their unprofessional reaction in it. i expect that from teenage mods in 2005 lj rp but not here.

so someone who used to mod/was friends with a mod is just immature, but let's all shit on the poor person who's only in charge because players insisted the game go forward, and they were (apparently foolishly) nice enough to actually offer to run things?
