loving how everyone jumped on player plots for the blackout event

Same! It was great to see how everyone immediately started throwing around ideas and networking to get groups together for new CR or CR development. I think this plot is just what everyone needed right now.

is writing out really gory deaths necessary in this game

i'm fine with character death but actual guro tortureporn isn't really my thing, should i look elsewhere

It's not necessary at all, anon. I think I've handwaved more than half of my arena deaths. No one is going to force you to write outside of your comfort zone.

Nah, it's not necessary at all. Just let your threading partners know what you're comfortable with and I've never had a problem. You can handwave deaths or have deaths be really fast and simple.

What everyone else said. The arenas and death are a big part of the game but people tend to focus more on plot, character relationships and alliances, dealing with the grief and stress, and Capitol politics and rebellion.

It's not as character torture focused as some horror games are so a lot of players don't put emphasis on the gore.
