i think that may... be... why everyone says it's a lot better than the other novels? as far as i can tell with excerpts and summaries his 'partner' this time is a dude named eugeo but there's still a lot of girls HAHA...HA. reki's self-awareness is to write a non-canon SS about kirito marrying the girls called 'there is but one ultimate way' so i'm pretty sure that is not fixing it at all lmao. oh well

it isss, there's even an interview with yuuki where it's like 'if asuna wasn't married to kirito and you were a guy ~~along with getting rid of other debilitating circumstances i won't spoil~~ would you marry asuna?' and she's like 'hellyea'

I don't mind a mountain of girls I just wish Reki did more... with them... MORE GIRLFRIEND TIME honestly I just wish Reki did more with his side characters in general once their small arc is over unless (sometimes) they're a harem member they don't get much more to do except in group features, it seems. Can't be helped. Can still wish on a star for Reki to have a little more variety in his writing, laughs. He does a little better in Accel World though you can definitely still see his habits even there. (I am very fond of Accel World, bias acknowledged, but I do think it is a Pretty Great Anime.)

variety being the story not just being all about kirito and how every girl falls for him rofl. i haven't looked into Accel yet surprisingly. but i know the main char is pretty diff from kirito and there's this girl called kuroyukihime and people thought it was kirito/asuna's daughter because of the name referencing kirito's affinity to black clothes and asuna's last name (wtf). but IM PRETTY SURE that's just reki being a damn troll and/or being unoriginal and referencing his own series

Well, that and also Kirito being the key to literally everything that ever happens smh, a thing I notice more and more as I re/read. Reki also has real trouble figuring out how to write more than one type of villain, I've noticed. It's a problem in Accel World too, unfortunately. I never heard the SAO-Accel World conspiracy theories..... I mean he actually crosses them over at some point, right, that seems enough proof for them being separate universes...... also Yuuki and Yuki are entirely different words headscritch fandom.
