i'm vibrating i want to know who you're thinking of playing slkdjgsdg blackgarde and i have been dying for some castmates at our game and you said you were looking at FC cos it's cute (lmao it's not without its problems for sureeeeee but i've had some practice with main chars. i don't worry too much about it tho)

so when reki came up with the idea to write progressive he had qualms about who he was going to make the heroine in that arc because if he made it asuna it would probably clash with the original source material that aincrad was. he eventually decided to make it asuna though because he has always thought of her as the main main heroine and kirito's partner above all else. his plan was to write from floor 1 and up. if he made it some other random girl there wouldn't be any problems with how kirito interacts with asuna in vol 1. because in volume 1 kirito says that he didn't talk to asuna much outside of the boss raid meetings and didn't know her well. but that would obviously be a lie if he was with her so much during progressive. that kind of thing. progressive is more like a retcon of aincrad and a re-telling from floor 1 and up. he's only got up to floor 3 tho and he was laughing and crying about how long it would take to write but that he definitely wanted to do it

in other words, HE KNOWS AINCRAD IS CHAOS AND THE KIRITO AND ASUNA RELATIONSHIP IS SUDDEN and he wants to fix it, lengthen it to the story it should have been, and keep asuna as the main girl at the same time

reki's writing has got TONS better since aincrad as far as pacing goes, yeah. but since they're SS they can be as long as he needs them

oh man is that what happened last week? i couldn't download the episode until LATE on sunday i was so upset

UH WELL one of them is Heath....cliff.... I'm still debating whether there's even enough material to play him, tbh, stacked on top of him being an Aincrad encyclopedia I'm not sure I want to do that to myself. /crieslaughs Maybe if Progressive turns out to be what Reki promised I'll get more material...... The other is a walking GGO spoiler but is the more likely candidate for actually getting played, I'll probably toss that one onto memes once I get things ironed out.

That description of Progressive sounds so good... it sounds like so much work, though, I'm really wondering how much of it Reki can actually deliver. Granted, what material does come out of it should be really interesting even if he burns out before he finishes. But yeah, he's been retconning like crazy in general and it's driving me crazy.....

Yeah, seems like Horrible's just having issues lately server-wise. Fingers crossed!

HOLY CRAP WE NEED MORE GUY CHARS that's really awesome you're thinking of heathcliff!! i remember there's a part in volume 8 where he's eating 'ramen' with asuna and kirito and complains that it's bland. it's really funny. but yeah the whole walking encyclopedia would be rough buddy. it might be worth just testing him out tho. i've been spoiled for GGO basically tho so i think i know who you're thinking of for the other person too

i'm wondering too since it's SUCH A HUGE PROJECT if he wants to get to floor 75 with it or even to just floor 22 (iirc) where kirito meets the black cats. if he goes the way he is now that's 22 volumes. SHORT VOLUMES but the first 3 floors have been really cool so far. progressive is my fav EVEN WITH ALL THE RETCON it's good retcon for once. at least he knows he fucked up and he also knows about the harem shit too HAHA hence 'there is but one ultimate way'

Yeah most of my muse list is guys hahaha, I did just read the Vol. 8 ramen scene, that was pretty great. Kirito you're a turd, what is up with you and that shop (I still haven't read the one who they're investigating whether the shopkeeper's an NPC or not, but that one looks entertaining oh gosh). I might see what I can do with him once I finish losing my mind over GGO, I hear there's more info in Alicization, too.

(And GGO Spoiler-chan is probably the one you're thinking of, we just don't have that many characters in this arc.)
