This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rpanons takes less than a minute to browse (unlike an inbox which consistently gets more than 30 messages a day), and many players who might be too shy or worried to pm or contact us directly often leave valuable thoughts here! As a team who's very invested in running a great game for all who come to it, we do consider reaching out to players who leave thoughts here important. :) And that includes taking blows where they're due!

It's been a particularly hectic month on our end, for a multitude of reasons. While we make an exhaustive effort to reply to everything ASAP, it's hardly impossible for something to have gotten missed or gone unaddressed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and encourage you to resubmit messages via PM (which is, presently, far more reliable than email)!

I understand what you're trying to do, but this a really bad idea. There's a reason why mods don't directly or indirectly respond to anonymous commentary on rpanons or wankgate, and honestly it makes me nervous as a player in the game that you're making it so clear that you not only come here and read comments, but that you possibly allow them to influence your decisions enough that you felt the need to respond. Twice.

If you'd really wanted to address the concern of the lag in post, you could have just noted it with an apology when you did put the boons post up. The lateness was obvious enough already, you didn't have to acknowledge directly that anons were complaining. Now you've just opened the door on people thinking that whining here will get them what they want, which considering how these places are used, is not how any game should be run.

Would you have an account by which you'd feel comfortable PMing the mod account to preserve your anonymity? This would be a great dialogue to have at further length!

In any event, while the gesture is absolutely nontraditional, the hope in responding to comments as we have is to help foster a sense of approachability towards the mods. If we can demonstrate in all areas that we're generally reasonable, happy to take informative and helpful suggestions and act on them, admit our own fuck-ups when they happen (and they do!), the end goal is it ultimately reduces the need for individuals to even use anon outlets relating to matters which are easier to handle simply taken directly to a mod account. 'Be the change you want to see', and all that! Trust is a thing which must be earned or built, and someone must always take the first step. Why shouldn't that be us?

Your concern about the method of running the game being influenced by individuals speaking here is a valid one! We've already made some minor modifications to the manner of player engagement based on concerns given rise here. That brings us around to trust, again: do you trust us as a team to discern what's reasonable from what isn't, when we take things under advisement? Do you trust us to cultivate a positive game atmosphere, ICly and OOCly given that we pay such close attention to game-related matters? It's a big leap, we absolutely understand if the answer at present is 'hell no'! :) Talk with us at length and help us understand how better to foster that trust in you. It's almost certain that you're not the only person with these same reservations.
