because I do not see any parts of her surviving after her execution in the first game, she basically became a stain

Pretty much. Danganronpa exists in a state of exaggerated unrealism anyway. (Accelerating someone to such speeds that their body becomes butter? Yeah.)

we don't know for sure that they got to the real junko's body. for all we know they got the parts from mukuro's. or another body double. or a fake corpse. or a shsl mortician somehow patched her corpse back together given how ridiculous the shsl students' abilities can be.

the fact her arm never started rotting is pretty suspect, in any case.

That's a bullshit argument, though. All canons have their own kinds of logic, as whacky as they can be. So long as it still makes sense in the realm of its own insanity, it's fine. But the whole chopping up Junko's body and sewing the pieces onto their own bodies thing doesn't make any sense.

my theory is that only her legs were squished. she was sitting so it's possible.

probably mukuro's body. she was dressed up as junko, and when they're both squished/burned beyond recognition sans hands/legs for mukuro, you can't really tell which one is which.

Haven't played these games yet but is the anime adaptation any good? I never really see anyone talk about it.

You've just answered your own question there.

The anime isn't bad, but it doesn't stand up too well by itself. All the character development was cut to tell the story quicker, the cases are rushed, the whole thing is basically an extended commercial for the PS vita release.

What the above anon said. It was a 13 episode anime that really needed at least 26 episodes.

The only nice thing that can be said about it is that it cuts out some of the more pointless sections of the trials, and the class photo being filled with the dead classmates as the story progressed.

But the big problem is that, because it rushes through the story so quickly, there is no time given to establishing the characters and actually letting you care about them. (This was essentially the purpose of the Free Time segments in the original game.) There's no heartbreak to a character being murdered if you hardly know them.

The other big flaw was that the investigation segments were practically skipped over. So you have a murder mystery story where it's impossible for the viewer to figure it out (or even feel like they're on equal footing with the protagonist) because they have access to none of the clues or context.

echoing the above anons as well. it's not bad; it was pretty much a play-by-play of the game, but with things some important things cut out because of limited time/budget, which isn't anything anyone could do much about. nobody talks about it because there's nothing to talk about, really.

i think people who have already played the game get more out of it, because it's interesting to see some of the scenes animated in full if you already know how the story goes but it skips a lot of stuff.

For those who have already gotten their copies, what do you think of the translation so far? Good? Bad? Okay, but could do better?
